Herein, we demonstrate a full skutterudite-based segmented thermoelectric power generation module. The use of thermoelectric materials from the same parent avoids the difference in thermal expansion coefficients and compatibility factors and allows the preparation of thermoelectric junctions by a one-step sintering process.
With this model’s concept, a segmented generator composed of one p-leg Bi0.4Te1.6Te3/Zn4Sb3/CeFe4Sb14 and one n-leg Bi2Te3/CoSb3 has been demonstrated with a maximum efficiency of 15 %.
